New house

So here are a few pictures of the new house. It is still very much a work in progress. I have almost nothing hung on the walls yet, but we are making steps to make it home. Rowan was napping when I took these, so I don't have any of his room (which isn't done yet either anyway). The nursery is still storage...I am hoping to get that underway this week. I will try to update more as we finish things. But here is a little sneak peak of what we have been working on.

We obviously had A LOT of landscaping to do, but that will be a slow process over time.
Front Porch. You can see some of my late night planting. I also have basil and rosemary growing which I used in last nights dinner.
Master Bedroom. Josh picked out everything for the new bedding and curtains in this room...down to the paint color. I think he did a great job!

Playroom. I am really pleased the way this room turned out. I love the plate rail we added and the colors came out great. The alphabet was a labor of love (and some hate) but I think makes the space playful and a little bit whimsical. It is by far Rowan's favorite room.
Living room. This room is a cool blue/gray that is so soothing. It gets so much natural light we don't turn the lights on until the sun sets.
The USA world cup game was on when I was taking these, so Josh is also a fixture in the room.
Kitchen/Dinning. This is not a big space, but has worked out well for us. I have even done some cooking! It is a goal of mine for Rowan, Josh and I to sit down to dinner as a family as much as we can, so we have gotten a lot of use out of this space. Rowan loves looking out all the windows while he eats, and we have had quite a showing of wildlife. Three deer, a fox, turtle, ground hog and a few rabbits are regular visitors around dinner time. It has helped our transition from country living to city living go a little easier :)

Shey, this is gorgeous! I love how you've decorated everything, and I'm SO jealous of your playroom! I'd love to have a grown-up family room again! :-)

Enjoy the new house!
