Washing Dishes

Rowan is getting so grownup I kind of can't handle it. He loves to be independent these days and wants to do everything he sees Josh and I do. He loves to help wash dishes, and it usually result in more of a mess than clean but I have to indulge his every once in a while when I have time to clean up the mess.

tAnd one of the chunky monkey...he is starting to look at us which is fun.

Awake and Asleep

I found him like this yesterday, sucking on his pacifier and buried in his blanket, it made me laugh.

I have been having the hardest time keeping Eli awake after he eats for his "awake time". Here are my failed attempts :)

Josh has better luck.

How much he has grown

It is obvious from the ache in my back and the clothes I have already had to pack away that Elison has filled out, but wow what a little chunk he has become! It is a bit shocking when you think he has grown this much in only 6 weeks!

Eli, 5 weeks old

I love this hat.

Eli is spending more and more time with his eyes open these days. I took a few pictures while Rowan was napping and Eli and I had some together just the two of us. He is already starting to have a little personality with likes and dislikes, and is beginning to notice things around him. He is really filling out and I think might be quite a chunk as the months go on. We are hoping (desperately) that he starts sleeping longer at night soon, it is getting hard to not have continuous sleep. Maybe in the next month or so we will get some relief, fingers crossed! Our friend Lauren, gave Eli this sweet outfit and hat and I can't believe he already fits into it. Thanks LT! Shortly after I took these, he spit up all over it so I am glad I got a few.

Trip to the fire station

We couldn't be trapped in the house another day so we took a field trip to the fire station. Rowan was a little timid at first, but warmed up and enjoyed exploring the station. He was really excited to sit in the seat and get to touch all the buttons. We even got to see an ambulance in action.

In their Red Sox hats.
Eli was unimpressed by the fire trucks, but was a good sport anyway.
Exploring.

In the playroom with G-dawg

Josh's parents have been visiting us from California for two weeks and Dana and Rowan have become fast friends. Rowan regularly requests Dana to come and play with him and there is a lot of noise and giggling that goes on. I try hard to stay out of the room so I don't see what fun new things G-dawg is teaching him. But whatever they are doing there is a lot of laughter. Here are a few shots of their acrobatics, Rowan was thrilled.

1 month old

Elison is one month old! Weighing in at 8 lbs 4 oz, this little piglet is doing great. He is eating and sleeping well and is starting to be awake more. He is also super strong and already lifting his head and wiggling into the spot he wants to be when you are holding him. His face is already so expressive and while he mostly makes little old man faces, we think he is just adorable.

Happy Anniversary

Happy 6 Years Josh! Thanks for being the best husband and dad I know!

Eli's First Bath

These are from well over a week ago, but having two kids is making it harder and harder for me to have any free time to do anything extra. Eli enjoyed his first bath (and the few subsequent ones) he has had. He calms right down and relaxes in the water. Here are a few from his first bath.
