Rowan loves the window behind our couch in the living room. He loves to watch the birds that gather on the ground and play with the curtain. They came out pretty grainy, I kind of like the effect but am not sure why it happened....photography people, tell me what I did wrong.

high iso because of the low light? that'd be my guess. your exif info says iso 1600, speed 1/2000; Try a lower iso number (say 400-800) and slower shutter. I can usually get a non-blurry shot pretty easily as slow as 1/60th, but you might not need to go that low depending on the light.
