Here are a couple of newish videos that have kept us laughing or having fun. Especially the video of Rowan laughing hard. Rowan finds these words that just make him crack up, like "stop" or "feet," and lately his favorite has been "woo!" Enjoy the videos and we hope you'll laugh with Rowan...woo!

Beautiful gift
Our dear friend Lee Owsley, a very talented artist and quilter, made this beautiful gift for Rowan. Usually Lee quilts images that become amazing tapestries to hang on a wall. She was kind enough to make this more traditional style for Rowan to enjoy. She did put her touch on it though by embroidering his name on the back in all different styles and sizes. We love it and will cherish it forever.

9 months old
Rowan is nine months now, we took him for his checkup this week and everything looks good. He weighs 16 lbs. 11oz and is 27 1/4" tall. He is a little guy, only in the 3-5 percentile for both weight and height. I hope he is at least taller than Josh and I. He is developing quite a personality. He loves books right now and will get hooked on one and want it read over and over again. He is also obsessed with running water. Anytime he is near the sink or tub, he lunges toward it trying to get his hands under the water. When he is bathing, he isn't really interested in his toys, but mesmerized if I fill a cup and pour the water over his hands. We play this game over and over until he is cold and it's time to get out.

photo shoot with Kristen
These photos are about a month old, but we were without internet for about two weeks, so we are just now catching up with things. Here are just a few good ones from our photo shoot with Kristen.

This hat was Josh's when he was little...I think all three of the Hayden boys wore it. It was made by Rowan's great grandmother Mimi.
sleeping positions
Rowan isn't crawling yet but that doesn't stop him from doing crib gymnastics. After many weeks of making me laugh every morning, I decided to document a week. The very few mornings I find him in the same position I left him in, I know it is not because he didn't move, but that he did a complete 360 and is back to where he started. I know this because when we check on him before we go to bed he is almost always 180 degrees from where we left him. Please also note the various ways you find his blanket that he starts wrapped in.

Monday
And a nap...it's funny, I sleep exactly the same way
